Is the Helsinki Sauna for you?
OPEN IN FEEL & BEAUTIFUL IN DESIGN
Take your health to the next level with your very own home sauna. Whether it’s been a long day at work, or you’re fresh off a challenging workout, climbing into your sauna will provide an abundance of healing qualities. Relaxing in the sauna will cause your body’s core temperature to rise which in turn dilates your blood vessels to allow for increased circulation of nutrient-rich blood. This effectively expedites the healing process for sore muscles while simultaneously soothing aches and pains. On top of that, sitting in the sauna will elevate your heart rate, offering you a moderate cardiovascular workout as you relax! Last, but certainly not least, users report a smooth transition to a deep sleep after enjoying a sauna session. This is due to your body’s core temperature beginning to cool, a process that naturally occurs while we sleep.
Our alluring Helsinki sauna offers three comfortable seats to provide a more social infrared sauna setting. Its beauty is afforded by our Hemlock wood, which is rich in colour and durable in nature. This sauna will be an asset in any healthy household, featuring a tempered glass door, a floodlight with interchangeable colours, and a user-friendly control panel.

Room for Three
Our Helsinki is designed to comfortably seat up to three adults, or if it’s a solo sauna session you can stretch out across the bench seating to yet another layer of comfort.
Wood seating can be uncomfortable at times. That’s why we’ve designed intelligent and ergonomic backrests to mould and support the arches of your back. Being completely comfortable will encourage you to remain in the sauna for longer and relish the full benefits of an infrared sweat session.
We’re packing heat
Infrared saunas work by heating your body directly, through safe wavelengths of light that are felt as heat. This light penetrates our bodies deeper than the heat of a traditional sauna. This means your infrared sauna does not need to be as hot as a traditional dry sauna, because the heat is directed more efficiently. This allows you to achieve a deep sweat at a much lower temperature and stay in the sauna for longer per session. When setting up your infrared sauna it’s important to consider the ambient temperature of the room in which your sauna will live, as this will dictate how hot your sauna can get.
Nano Carbon Heater
Our efficient carbon heater have been carefully engineered to provide a constant high heat with even distribution – making sure there’s no hot spots.
With these heaters on the back, sides and under the legs, you can be sure that your whole body will be heated to make sure you get the most out of your sauna.
Full Spectrum Heater
These heaters are unique by offering near, mid and far infrared technology from one source, allowing the heat to really penetrate deep into your body.
Near infrared (NIR) is the shortest infrared wavelength. NIR promotes skin renewal, cell health, wound healing and tissue growth.
Mid infrared (MIR) is a longer wavelength that can penetrate deeper into the body’s soft tissue to aid inflammation.
The longest wavelength, far infrared (FIR), reaches deepest into the body where toxins are stored.

Don’t just take our word for it!
NZ’s leading athletes and sports specialists use Alpine Saunas to take their performance and recovery to the next level.
Elite Netballer, Jane Watson, believes regular sauna use is a game changer when it comes to physical recovery as well as total relaxation.
“My training is frequent and can get very full-on. I really notice the difference if I have a particularly hard training day and skip my sauna session afterward, I’m definitely more fatigued the next day, says Watson.
Dave Wood is a movement and breathing specialist who works with elite athletes to enhance their recovery, endurance, and ability to remain calm under pressure.
Through his training of top athletes, he’s found regular sauna use to improve cardiovascular health, improve brain function, and provide mental resilience as well as stress management.
Wood says after you begin sweating in the sauna, your cardiovascular system engages, and the heart rate rises to facilitate expanded blood vessels. “At this stage of your sauna session, the body begins to harvest all of the benefits of actual exercise except you are passively sitting in relaxation,” says Wood.
Every Alpine Sauna is backed by an impressive warranty to give you peace of mind.

Frequently asked questions
ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE HELSINKI
Traditional saunas use a stove to heat the air. As the temperature of the air increases around you, the temperature of your body increases as well due to absorption by heat convection. This causes your body to start the cooling process by transporting blood closer to the surface of the skin and opening pores through sweating.
Infrared saunas also heat the surrounding air but to a lesser degree. Instead, infrared saunas use infrared heaters to emit a specific wavelength of infrared light. Your skin absorbs this wavelength, causing your body’s temperature to rise. This elicits the same effects as a traditional sauna with less overall heat needed.
Yes, we provide comprehensive manuals alongside several videos to explain how to assemble the Sauna in a step-by-step basis. However, we do advise organising the help of a builder or expert handyman, as this Sauna assembly can be a big job for casual DIYers.
One of the main differences between a traditional sauna and an infrared sauna is the heat involved while inside the unit.
Traditional dry saunas use temperatures as high as 80 to 90 degrees Celsius, which can overwhelm those who are more sensitive to the heat.
Infrared saunas use a much milder temperature environment of between 45 to 65 degrees Celsius. However, because the heat of infrared saunas travels much deeper into the body, they can cause a more vigorous sweat at lower temperature.
Another difference between a traditional sauna and an infrared sauna is the amount of power required to operate each unit.
Traditional saunas require more overall power to run. This means that a traditional sauna is more expensive to run than an infrared sauna. This can make a difference, depending on how often you use the unit.
