One common question we get from prospective buyers and Spa Pool owners alike is: Can I add magnesium to my Spa water? As many of us know, magnesium is an important nutrient our bodies require to stay healthy, so it’s only natural to want to add some of this to your Spa routine. In this short blog post we will dive deep into that common question and discuss everything you need to know to safely add magnesium to your Spa water.
The short is a simple: yes, but only using Iluka Mineral Bliss
However, it’s not as simple as picking up some magnesium bath salts from your local chemist. This form of magnesium will often have other elements within the salts that can corrode your internal Spa Pool components like jets, pumps, and heaters. If you wish to add magnesium to your Spa Pool, we strongly recommend a product called Iluka Mineral Bliss.
Iluka Bliss

How Much Magnesium Should I Add To My Spa Water?
This is an important question. When adding Iluka Mineral Bliss to your Spa water, you will want to use the measurement of 50ml for every 1,000 litres of water in your Spa. So, if your Spa holds 1,500 litres of water, your correct dose will be 75ml of Iluka Mineral Bliss. Once added, allow your circulation pump to run 20 minutes to circulate that healing magnesium all throughout the Spa for best results.
