Most users prefer between 37°C and 39°C (98°F–102°F). 38°C is the most common "sweet spot".

Not necessarily. Salt water systems still produce chlorine. While the water feels softer, salt can be corrosive to heater elements and pumps over time. High-quality Ozone and UV systems often provide a better balance of longevity and water quality.

A high-quality spa pool from a reputable retailer like Alpine Spas can last 10–15+ years with proper maintenance. Pumps and heaters may need replacement after 5–10 years.

Absolutely. Winter is the best time to use a spa! Good insulation is key to keeping running costs down during colder months.

Ozone is a gas generated by the spa that kills bacteria and breaks down organic matter. It reduces the amount of chemical sanitiser (chlorine) you need to add by up to 70%.

Dry weight is usually 300kg–450kg. Filled weight (with water and people) can exceed 2,000kg.

Not always. A Hiab truck can often lift it over a fence. If access is difficult, a crane or even a helicopter might be required, but standard delivery crews can often use trolleys for flat access. Learn everything about our delivery options.

The main difference between a spa pool and a hot tub is their features, build, and intended experience. Spa pools are typically modern, electrically heated units with moulded seats, jets for hydrotherapy, advanced lighting, and filtration systems, making them ideal for everyday use and massage therapy. Hot tubs, on the other hand, are traditionally wooden or plastic, often round, may be heated by wood fire, gas, or electricity, and lack the jets and sculpted seating found in spa pools.

It is generally more efficient to leave it running and maintaining temperature than to reheat it from cold every time, unless you are going away for weeks.

More isn't always better. The placement and type of jets (rotary vs. directional) matter more than the total count. Look for a variety of jet sizes.

Modern Alpine Spas circulation pumps are "whisper quiet". The jets make some noise when active (bubbling water), but the idle noise is minimal. The more insulation your spa pool has and the better the pump is the quieter your spa pool will be.

No, you should not use oils of any kind in your spa pool. Only use scents specifically designed for spa pools. Standard essential oils can clog filters and damage the acrylic shell.

A Heat Pump is an external unit that looks like an air conditioning unit. It is the most energy-efficient way to heat a spa, using ambient air energy.
